A delicate move needs precise planning
This afternoon I went out to visit Berkeley tower, and impressive apartment block that sits onlooking canary wharf itself.
The property itself features and underground car park and dedicated loading bay and an on site concierge. Our customer is currently living on the 9th floor in a two bedroom flat with her two children and is looking to move to a house in the stunning suburb of Brent in north London. She has originally planned her move to be in mid August and is looking for a full service removal.
Whilst we were walking the property and discussing what needed to be moved and how we would go about everything some items of hers that needed particular attention were her Shrine, not just a monetary concerned but as this related to her religion it has sentimental value as well. She would prefer to pack the individual statues of the shrine herself and as I understood the value of this item to her we ensured we discussed protecting this with bubble wrap securely before we attempted to remove it from the property. This along with some of her larger artwork and the glass shelving in her China cabinets would need to be bubble wrapped and cared for before moving.
In addition to this our customer also had a number of teak wood furniture pieces that we plan to export wrap before they are loaded onto the removal truck. This will help to ensure its care also given the walk between the property and the loading bay underground.
All in all we recommended to the customer to ensure a smooth removal that does not impact her family life that the move will take between 2-2 1/2 days in total. A guideline that she has heard from a few of her other surveys as well. Good work takes time and pays off.
