Renovating a New Home and using Containerised Storage

Today I met with Mr and Mrs F. They are relocating from their current home in Waltham Abbey to a new converted bungalow in Gloucestershire. They are planning on having a lot of work done on their new property and because of this they are looking to take advantage of our containerised storage in London. They are wanting a small amount of their belongings including their outside wares taken up to Gloucestershire and stored in the garage and their clothes to be with them in the mean time. The majority of the property will be collected the day before their completion day and will go into our containerised storage and suites racks. These are best for short and long term domestic storage. And then once the property is ready we will arrange for these containers to be loaded onto our removal truck and transported out to Gloucestershire.

My first appointment today was with Mrs P in Upton park. She and her family are currently living in a 3 bedroom terraced property and they are moving across to a new home in Harrow. Despite the property size they are not taking a huge amount of furniture and this will allow them to keep the cost down on their removal. Apart from a 3 piece suite they are only moving one of the beds which also gives them the opportunity to start afresh when they get to Harrow. They are completing on their current home in early July but hope to get most of their move done before this time.

My next appointment was across in Beckton with Mr and Mrs B. They originally met me whilst I was working on another removal in Royal Victoria. I gave them  a rough idea of their removal costs as well as suggestion on how to make the removal as cost effective as possible. They are moving to Lowesoft and apart from a garden bench and a tv are moving only personal effects. This allows us to provide a 1 man removal crew and help to keep the cost down. It also allows us to have more crew seating available in the vehicle so that they will be able to travel with their belongings.

I've also been out to Acton today to see one of my previous customers, I originally met with Mrs J last year when she was planning her move in the summer. It's been almost a year since my first visit and they recently got in touch to let me know they were finally looking at completing and that they had managed to reduce what they were now taking. I thought it best to re visit and remind myself what they were taking so that I could have a better idea of how to revise their quote.
